Cedar City, Utah's Best Holiday Location by Bonnie and Bill Neely We love Utah and when we returned this year we centered our activities in Cedar City for the opening week of their 47th annual summer Shakespeare Festival (1-800PLAYTIX). This repertory theatre has won the coveted Tony Award for the Best Theatre Productions, which is only given outside of New York City to one place each year. The season runs from June 21 through October, with nine different plays running in three different theatres. Read More... Twelfth Night at the Utah Shakespearean Festival by Linda Lane Twelfth Night resonates with the giddy heraldry of switched identities, and love’s labours lost, sensed, and ultimately found. The actors are all so well trained that when they speak, the lines are easy to understand and their meaning is obvious. The outdoor Adams Shakespearean Theatre captures the spirit of its Elizabethan inspiration. Under the stars, with partial covering over the balcony makes this an especially nice summer venue. Read More... Help Choose His Adventure by Jeremy DavidHave you ever read those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books? Jeremy David is living one. In August he is hopping on a plane to Europe, and from there you are in control. Tell him where to go and what to do Read More... London Revisited by Ron Kapon Warning! The American dollar is like Monopoly money. It takes more than two US dollars to equal a British Pound which is great for the British coming to America but watch out going the other way. Forget the $150 taxi ride from Heathrow to central London and opt for the Heathrow Express ($57 round trip). In 15 minutes you are at Paddington Station and a $25 taxi ride to my lodging (no more complaints about New York taxi rates). Read More Redding's Not-So-Hidden Jewel by Carol White The most interesting aspect of the bridge is the fact that it never touches the water at any point. It is built with steel, glass and granite and appears to cantilever over the water, protecting environmentally sensitive areas and salmon habitat. There are actually viewing platforms at both ends, giving visitors a variety of vistas from which to see this marvel of design ingenuity. Visiting Thailand's Monkeys and Bats Part Two by Leslie Adams It was, after all, the king's birthday and full moon taboot! So this enormous carnival was happening and, wouldn't ya know, Nong's mum worked it! So, we stashed our huge packs in a carnie tent and did the scene. Drank these weird mini keg like things of beer and listened to Thai rock and roll. Finally, a wee bit inebriated, we piled onto motorcycles with our huge packs and zoomed off to our hotel. Read More... The Muslim Fishermen of Phang Nga by Antonio Graceffo Through the help of foreign and local aid organizations, most of the fishing boats have been restored, and new homes have been built. Often, villagers elected to rebuild further from the sea, for fear of a future calamity. Community based tourism projects, such as North Andaman Tsunami Relief (NATR), have been trying to create tourism businesses for the locals, arranging for tourists to sleep in a home-stay Read More City Mouse-Country Mouse: Backyard Travels in San Diego by Howard HianI was reminded of this engaging children's story after a backyard visit, first to downtown San Diego (the city), and then to North County San Diego (the country). San Diego has grown to one of the largest cities in the United States; the county is diverse geographically and stretches from the Pacific Ocean to a desert-like environment at its eastern border. Read More... Come, Experience Montana's Wide Open Spaces by Cid at the Fish House Montana is a vast and varied state of mountains, canyons, river valleys, forests and caverns. It's the 4th largest state in the nation but with our popularion under 1 million, it's actually the sixth least-populated state. Ah... there is room to breathe and nowhere is the air fresher. Read More...With all the things there are to see and do in the world it should come as no surprise that there are some real travel adventures to be had. One thing to consider when taking an overseas excursion is where to stay. Timeshares are a great option that allows you to lodge comfortable and affordably. With resorts begining to offer more timeshare programs world wide, there are more owners looking to sell their timeshare properties. So get your passports reaady, get your plane tickets, and start enjoying everything the world has to offer.
