trying to do what one friend would for another, and hoping its pass-the-goodness-along philosophy will generate $150,000 in food for thousands of hungry children, and provide healing help for many others around the globe.

The idea is simple, but the potential results are astounding. Here's how it

works: Participants contribute by purchasing award-winning author L. David

Harris' latest book, Know Peace Within: A Life in Transition. The proceeds

will help fund three worthy organizations - and the lives of thousands will be

made better simply by purchasing a book.

"Years ago I remember thinking how incredible it would be if the principles

of exponential growth could be used to make peoples' lives better," Harris

explained. "If we invest our time and energies leading souls to enlightenment,

each of those souls will do the same. This is why we say that each one

reaches many."

Harris' E1RMM's $150,000 Project is designed so that a portion of the

revenue generated through the sale of his new book will go to three worthy

organizations: World Vision, the Fistula Foundation, and Amazing Facts. Each

organization will receive a check for $50,000.00 towards carrying on their work.

"Many children will have food, water, and clothing because of this project," Harris said. "Women who suffer with fistulas, the devastating aftermath of obstructed labor, will have their health and their dignity restored. And the important ministry work being carried out in India and other parts of the world will get a financial boost through E1RMM's efforts."

Doing good work for goodness' sake is not a new idea, explained Harris. "Not only did Jesus teach the gospel. He also shared food with those who were hungry, and provided physical healing to those who were ailing. E1RMM is simply following in his footsteps."

The three organizations that will benefit did not contact E1RMM for assistance. Harris says it is simply his ministry's way of trying to make a valuable impact on our society.

"Our goal is to sell 100,000 books within the next six to twelve months in

order to assist these organizations," Harris said. "This is just the

beginning of the very long arm of philanthropic work we hope to achieve through

E1RMM."

The $150,000 Project is also designed to inspire people to revisit the

books of Daniel and Revelation, explained Harris. "E1RMM's Open Book Project

encourages people everywhere - especially leaders - to study, pray over, meditate

on, and even memorize the books of Daniel and Revelation along with their

regular Bible study regimen," Harris said. "These two books contain some of the

most powerful prophecies, and in them we find specific truths that help us

to understand Christ's character more fully, as well as develop the tools to

have a vibrant relationship with him."

Harris is a passionate author who believes that writing is part of his

reason for being, so it's not surprising that Know Peace Within: A Life in

Transition has a way of captivating its readers. A story that transcends age,

gender, and socio-economic boundaries, Know Peace Within recounts the journey of

an ordinary man struggling to find his way in a troubled world. The writer's

quest to know himself through God is an inspiration to readers during these

tremendously tumultuous times.

"Know Peace Within is one of those rare books that comes along and changes

the lives of literally everyone who picks it up," said Dave Bohon, a

Christian media expert and vice president of WDC Media. "Believers and seekers alike

In addition to being an author, Harris is a local church elder and Bible

teacher at the Community Praise Center Church in Alexandria, VA. Though the

majority of his experience has been in adult ministries, in the absence of a

full-time youth pastor Harris has worked as an interim youth ministries

coordinator at the Praise Center since July 2005. "It has been a joy and privilege,

as well as a great learning and sharing experience, to have had this

opportunity to work with youth," explained Harris. "This was uncharted territory for

me. I had to have faith."

Harris wishes someone had spent this kind of time with him when he was a

youth, and feels it would have given him a real head start in life. "It has

been invaluable for me to have had the chance to do for youth what I wish had

been done for me - to have had someone guide me and light the way a little."

Harris hopes the media and mega-church ministries will be inspired to get

behind the $150,000.00 Project. If one friend buying a book can motivate two

more to do the same consider, posits Harris, the affect that one hundred

ministries purchasing one thousand books would have on E1RMM's ability to make a

difference in the world.

"Love is most readily seen when people's daily needs are being met,"

explained Harris. "As this and other projects like it become successful, more

people will be in a position to receive not only food, clothing, and shelter; they

will be receptive to God's love and will look forward to living in a world

without sickness, pain, or privation."
