Cape Cod National Seashore and Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge encoumpasses many square miles of natural beauty protected in perpetuity by our wonderful National Parks system. This preserved part of the island is just as the Pilgrims found it, for us to see and enjoy, appreciating nature in its unblemished beauty. Many bird and animals species play and hunt among the pine, cedars, and dune grasses.
At Brewster you'l also find camping and hikig at Nickerson State Park, (no hook-ups) is heavily wooded, lovely natural scenery, paved trails, excellent picnic areas in rolling hills with everygreens and deciduous trees , coves off the Bay, bay shoreline with sandy beach lakes, fishing in Cliff and Flax Ponds stocked with trout and salmon, (Massachusetts fishing license is required) and boat dock. There are equestrian trails and interpretive programs and lake swimming. You can rent bikes and boats on site and there is a Nature Center your whole family will find educational. There is also DYS youth Forestry Camp
Camping at Provincetown (RV) has full hook-ups, popular because of beach access, fishing, clam digging, whale sitings just off shore in their Northern feeding ground, bird watching along the natural migratory skyway, and proximity to quaint new England Historical town with museums and whale watching cruises.
