Flags of Tennessee and Texas
![]() By Bill Neely
Our friends in Bristol, TN, told us it was worth the drive to the out of the way place to eat and they were right! You may wait in line outside this small, fifties-looking, no-frills diner to get this delicious, authentic Southern pork bar-b-que, and you just might have the door locked in your face if they run out of the supply, but this place is worth the drive and worth the wait. It has been famous for its great food at great prices for many decades. But get there early! Located near NASCAR's Bristol International Raceway, just outside of Bluff City, at 900 Elizabethton Hwy. The phone is 423-538 7543![]() If you are in Northeast Texas you've gotta be looking for bar-b-que! And some of the very best we've found is in a little place called Ramage Farms in Hooks, TX, on Interstate #30, fifteen miles west of Texarkana. You'll not only enjoy a terrific meal in western barn-type setting, but you can shop for great Texas gifts to take home, from T shirts to all types of typical foods, and many unusual Texas mementos. Don't miss it! ![]() ____________________________________
