Lake Tahoe, California & Nevada
Fun For All Seasons

Whether you are planning a winter or spring break ski trip, or a summer family vacation or reunion, or a wedding, or a business convention the Lake Tahoe area has it all for the best time anyone could plan for any time of year and any occasion. We looked all over the country to select a location for our family reunion/40th anniversary celebration and were so happy we selected Lakeland Village Beach and Mountain Resort at South Lake Tahoe, CA.On the border of Northern California and Nevada Lake Tahoe is one of the largest natural lakes in North America. The high Sierra Nevada Mountains which surround the lake make it one of the most picturesque places on the continent. The exquisite topaz blue waters have white sandy beaches, and the mountains come nearly to water's edge, creating the gorgeous backdrop of evergreen forests towering to snowy peaks. Surrounding the entire lake are 17 ski slopes in all, six of which are world class and an easy shuttle ride form Lakeland Village.
In its 20 acre wooded setting Lakeland Village in South Tahoe is the perfect family location with its free shuttle to casinos, shopping, and many other attractions; two swimming pools (one heated); a private fishing pier with moorings; a quarter mile of private sandy beach on the lake's southern shore; and shoreline tennis courts. The guestrooms and surrounding condos feature full kitchens and fireplaces and maid service daily and can accommodate up to 10 guests (ask about more), and conference facilities up to 250 people. The resort also offers fine dining in the lovely restaurant or informal at poolside, or catering to your condo or box lunches for your excursions. Within minutes you'll find world-class skiing at Heavenly, or in summer you can ride the gondola to the top for hiking and dining and terrific views and photos. Mountain bikers find miles of trails in mountains or on level lakeshore. Horseback riding and trail rides are just a short distance away, as are sailboarding, jet skiing, and ;sternwheeler boat excursions, sunset sails, and boat rentals. Golfers will find a wonderful challenge with the mountain terrain courses nearby.![]() The entertainment you can enjoy is endless. On the Nevada side of the lake you can find gaming in fabulous casinos that rival Las Vegas. And on the north side of the lake is the classic Tahoe City, a typically Alpine village with some of the best restaurants. Nearby is the Truckee River and paved paths along lake's edge, which is down a steep slope from the village center. The North Shore skiing was made world-renowned by the 1960 winter Olympics at Squaw Valley.
Incline Village and Crystal Bay on the Eastern side has been named Golden Shore because of its warm orientation to the sun and the historical significance of Thunderbird Lodge, which is available for guided tours to see Tahoe of yesteryear. This area of the lake is understated with pristine beaches and wonderful shores with giant rocks for climbing and photography. Three stateline casinos are also here.
![]() In warm seasons take a romantic dinner cruise to the exquisite west side Emerald Bay and watch sunset over the lake. In winter go out to see the moon rise over the white crystal world. I promise it will highlight your memory for the rest of your life.
